     In November of 2005, a handful of reputable contractors banned together to address a couple of essential homeowner and contractor needs.

 

     Customer Needs:  Consumers needed an effective way of finding quality contractors.  They were tired of:

  • Shoddy workmanship

  • Less than desirable customer service

  • Unscrupulous business practices

     Says one disappointed customer, "Moving from a small city where we knew everyone and met them often in public settings, we had a rude awakening coming to a large metropolitan area.  Is just showing up on time and on the right day asking too much?"

  Contractor Needs

 Good contractors are often approached by their customers asking for other types of contractors for other homecare services. Most contractors were reluctant to refer other for fear of damaging their own reputation

States founder and current Director of the HPCA, Larry Hughes, " We work very hard to earn the reputation we enjoy today. We were not about to risk that by referring another company that we 'thought' was good!"

Thus, in November of 2005, an alliance was formed between a handful of dedicated companies wanting to end the notion that most contractors cannot be trusted or for that matter be found! In order to become a member of this exclusive Homecare Professional Contractors Alliance, each company had to meet strict membership requirements such as:

  • Demonstrate a history of top quality service in their field

  • Be capable of serving the entire North Metro Atlanta area

  • Supply pertinent information for background checks

  • And commit to an Oath of Excellence promising exceptional customer service.
     

About the Alliance

Members of the HPCA meet for breakfast two times per month to forge personal relationships with one another. Each member is asked to briefly describe their product or service, while one member has an opportunity to delve into greater detail for 15 minutes. In this way, each member gains even greater confidence in the abilities of their fellow alliance members.
Says Director, Larry Hughes, "In my heart of hearts, I know without a shadow of a doubt that when we refer a fellow contractor from within the Alliance, my client will be cared for and nurtured to the same degree we cared for them. That's peace of mind!"
